Roger L. Magnant, 62, of Thompson Rd., passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 at home with his loving family at his side, where he fought a strong brave battle against bladder cancer, he leaves a never ending love in the hearts of all his family and friends.
He leaves his wife of 41 years; Sharon L. (Prunier) Magnant, a daughter; Crystal M. wife of Paul A. Brown of Charlton, a son; Jason E. Magnant and his wife Carrie B. of North Grosvenordale, CT.,his mother Mary Jane (Blanchette) Magnant of Webster, a brother; Clarence E. Magnant, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Webster, 2 grandchildren;Dylan and Kelsy and 3 step grandchildren; Nicholas, Zachary, and Kristen.
Roger was born in Webster and was predeceased by his father Clarence E. Magnant, Sr., He was a 1969 graduate of Bartlett High School, and worked for Federal Express for 17 years before retiring in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, carpentry and cars. Roger had a gift of being able to be creative with his hands especially helping family and friends. He also enjoyed his trips to the casinos.
Calling Hours for Roger will be Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 5PM to 8 PM at the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., Webster.
A Time of Prayer will be held at the Funeral Home at 9 AM on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St.
Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
