MISS HELEN HUGHES of Hull, formerly of Hingham, died on Sunday, Oct. 3rd at the Harbor House Nursing Center in Hingham. She was 82. Miss Hughes was born in County Leix, Ireland and came to Dorchester after World War II. She was an upholsterer for many years and worked for several upholstering firms in Boston. Miss Hughes came to Hingham in 1974 where she lived for 25 years before moving to Hull 5 years ago.She was the aunt of Guy F. Oliver of Cohasset and Kathy A. Oliver of Hull. Great Aunt of Justin P. Oliver and his wife Kristine of Norwell and Lindsay M. Oliver of Hull. Great Great Aunt of Garrison Oliver-Jones of Hull and Jackson P. Oliver of Norwell. Sister ofSr. Mary Rosaire of Newton, the late Margaret M. Oliver and the late Kathleen Runci.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 6th at 9 AM at St. Ann's Church, corner of Samoset Ave. and Lewis St., Hull.Visiting hours at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Tuesday evening from 5-8 PM.The interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
