Jeannette P. Lavoie, age 70, of Wilmington formerly of Woburn, passed away Friday, October 1st, following a brief illness. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Mary (Cuddemi) and Giacomo Galante.
A devoted mother and homemaker she was the former wife of Richard J. Lavoie of Brookton, ME and longtime companion of the late Arthur E. Boulger. She is also survived by her children, Gerard Lavoie of Salem, NH, Jacqueline Griffith and Carolyn Kisiel of Woburn, Stephanie Gewlas of Wilmington, Richard Lavoie of N. Billerica and James Lavoie of Methuen. She was the loving grandmother of twelve and is further survived by her sisters, Rose LaPiana of Somerville, Nina Galante of Medford, and brothers Anthony Galante of Brockton and Joseph Galante of Plymouth.
Her funeral will be from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Tuesday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 3 thru 8. Services will conlude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
