Mr. Albert J. Bouchie, age 91, a Woburn resident for most of his life passed away peacefully, November 30th, at the Winchester Nursing Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth I. (Noel) Bouchie. Born in East Boston he was the son of the late John A. and Mary J. (Muise) Bouchie.
Albert was raised and educated in Woburn. He honorably served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for many years as a machinist with several different companies, Gear Works, Beggs & Cobbs and GTE. He retired in 1962. Albert also served with the Woburn Auxiliary Police for a number of years. In his leisure time Albert enjoyed working around his home, photography, walking Horn Pond, and always looked forward to his Saturday night card games with friends. He also enjoyed traveling and especially taking trips to Nova Scotia to visit family and friends. Throughout his life Albert was a devoted parishioner of St. Charles Church.
He is survived by his children, Richard A. Bouchie and his wife Linda of Wilmington, Mary Francis of Flagler Beach, FL and her late husband Robert. He was the loving grandfather of Noel, Nicole, Rebecca and Richard Bouchie, Michael Francis and Dianne Sarus. He is also survived by twelve loving great grandchildren. Brother of Jeanette Millet of Nova Scotia, the late Clarence Jeddrey and Donald Geddrey.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Wednesday, December 4th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m.. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Interment services will be private.
