Paxton- Gerard T. Corcoran, of 15 Mower Street, died Wednesday, September 29, 2004.
He leaves his wife, Susan (Pike) Corcoran; two daughters, Kathleen A. Corcoran and her husband David Blodgett of Worcester, and Carolyn A. Corcoran of Paxton; a son, John M. Corcoran and his wife Elaine Chu of Marblehead; four grandchildren, Janet Blodgett, Davidjohn Blodgett, Mark Corcoran, and Micaela Corcoran; a brother, John B. Corcoran and his wife Virginia of Southbury, CT. Mr. Corcoran was born in New London, CT, the son of John E. and Catherine A. (Birmingham) Corcoran. He graduated from Bulkeley High School in New London. After serving four years in the Air Force, he earned a masters degree from the University of Connecticut.
He was the Registrar at Clark University from 1966 to 1992.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2004, in South Killingly Congregational Church, 160 Halls Hill Road, South Killingly, CT. Burial will be in South Killingly Cemetery, South Killingly, CT. Calling hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2004, in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, Worcester.
