Domenico Contardo, 72 of Somerville died Friday at home after a brief illness.
Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Michele and Carmela (Fabiano) Contardo. Domenico was a Meat Cutter, employed by Star Provisions in South Boston for 10 years and retired in 1995.
Beloved husband of Antoinia (Contardo). Devoted father of Carmen Aniello and her husband Oreste of Stoneham, Michael Contardo and his wife Nancy of Medford. Loving grandfather of Richard and Alex Aniello, Christopher and Andrew Contardo. Brother of Frank Contardo of Tewksbury, Lucia DeRosa of Boston’s North End, Josephine DeGregorio of Somerville, Grace DeRosa of Florida, and Mary DelVecchio of Medford.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
