James Edward Murrell

James E. Murrell passed away Nov. 27, 2013 after a long illness. He was born Mar. 30, 1937 in Washington Co, IN the 8th of 10 children born to William and Lucy (Wilson) Murrell.
He graduated from Laurel High School in 1958, after which he served in the U.S. Navy.
James came to Anderson where he worked for Delco Remy until retiring in 1985.
James was an avid fisherman who loved camping, being outdoors as well as working in his garden and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
James is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice (Harvey) Murrell of Anderson whom he married November 24, 1963 in Brookeville, IN; three children, Bobbie Jo McIntyre (Fiancé, Dale Groves) of Niles, OH; Jimmy (Anita) Murrell of Anderson and Max (Lori) Murrell of Anderson; two brothers, Frank (Jean) Murrell of Laurel and Don (Mindy) Murrell of Anderson; a sister, Betty Jo (Mike) Stinson of Anderson; six grandchildren: Tobi McIntyre and Greg McIntyre both of Chandler, AZ; Kyle (Chelsa) Murrell of Ellettsville, IN; Aaron Murrell of Anderson; Blake Murrell of Atlanta, GA; Jordan Murrell of Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 2-5 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Service will be at 6 P.M. on Monday at Miller Moster, Robbins Funeral Home; 1704 North Grand Avenue; Connersville, IN 47331 with visitation from 4 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
