NATICK: Peter J. Brovelli, age 87, of Natick, died peacefully knowing he was loved by his devoted family, on Tuesday evening, November 26, 2013, at Riverbend of South Natick. He was the husband of Marjorie A. (McHale Doucette) Brovelli for 39 years.
Born in Framingham on the Feast of the Epiphany in 1926, he was the son of the late Pietro and Frances (Brovelli) Brovelli. He was a 1944 graduate of Natick High School, and from there joined the Army Air Corps and served for the duration of the war.
Peter was employed throughout his adult life in the MetroWest area, working with Carlo Bianchi & Company, General Motors, 20 years with Carling Brewery, and the Millipore Corporation from which he retired. He enjoyed time with Marge, whether at home or traveling together, working in the yard and reading. He relished his role of “Grampa Pete” to Marge’s grandchildren, Michelle, David, Dennis, and Ashley, and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, and Brea.
He is survived by his wife; her daughter Barbara Rose and husband Eric of Natick; and her son, Edward Doucette and wife Marie of Groton. He was the brother of the late Louise Allen.
His funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Friday, November 29th at 9:00a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, at 10:00a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery.
