Canada, Shawn Michael – of Florida formerly of Woburn, September 24. Beloved son of Jerry Canada and his wife Karen of Woburn, Rose Marie Burch and her husband Andrew of Leesburg, Florida. Brother of Erik Canada of Woburn, Kristy Canada of Burlington and Kevin Canada of Woburn. Loving uncle of Jaden Canada of Burlington and loving cousin and best friend of Dean Canada. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Funeral from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Monday, October 4, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral service in the United Methodist Church, 523 Main St. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy be sent in Shawn’ s memory to the Shawn M. Shawn Michael Canada, a marketing and advertising specialist, passed away suddenly in Altamonte Springs, Florida on September 24, he was thirty five years of age.
The son of Jerry Canada and his wife Karen of Woburn, Rose Marie Burch and her husband Andrew of Leesburg, Florida. Shawn was born and raised in Woburn, he played little leauge baseball, pop warner football and at Woburn High School was a member of Woburn Super Bowl Football Team. He graduated Woburn High School in 1988 and further his education at Bentley College, graduating in 1993. He was avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, seldom missing a game as a season ticket holder.
Shawn began a successful career as an entrepreneur and investor. In addition to his varied business intrests, he also worked for several years in the sponsorship and sales department for the NBA Team, Orlando Magic, where he became two time employee of the year and the most successful sponsorship salesperson in professional sports history. Most recently he was the founder and President of two advertising and marketing firms in Longwood, FL. A true leader he will be lovingly remembered for his loyalty to friends and family and generosity to others.
Surviving along with his parents are his brother Erik and Kevin of Woburn, his sister Kristy of Burlington, his nephew Jaden and his cousin and best friend Dean Canada. Also many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn on Monday, October 4, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the United Methodist Church, 523 Main St. Woburn at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn
