Barbara A. Maine, 86, of Mystic Health and Rehab Nursing Center, Mystic, CT, passed away on Nov. 25, 2013.
Barbara was born in North Stonington, CT on Feb. 6, 1927. She graduated from Westerly High School.
Barbara worked for Yardney for over 30 years retiring at 73. She was an avid animal lover and rescued many cats. She was also a devoted daughter who took care of her mother in her advanced years.
Barbara is survived by three nieces, a nephew, several great nieces and nephews, three great-great nieces and friends.
She was predeceased by both of her parents, N.Frank and Alice (James) Maine, two brothers, Ralph Maine and Kenneth Maine and a sister Elsie Anderson.
A private Graveside Service will be conducted at Union Cemetery in North Stonington.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to any Humane Society.
