William H. Brooks, 50, of Derry, NH died Saturday, Nov. 23rd at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.
Bill was born and educated in Maine and graduated from Rockland District High School. He built boats and he was a carpenter. He was a certified SCUBA diver and held a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Bill was a member of the Taylor School of Self Defense and the Chai Studio of Self Defense and he won the light- heavyweight division of the Canadian-American Kickboxing Championship. Bill had his own Tae Kwon Do studio, HK School of Self Defense in Rockland, ME. He loved history, and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Patriots and the Cowboys.
Bill was predeceased by his brother Chief Warrant Officer 2 Thomas Brooks.
He is survived by his parents, Shirley (Farrell) and Edwards Brooks, III of Salem, NH; his sons Zachariah of FL and Treavor of ME; his brother John and his wife Patty of Salem, NH; several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Nov. 27th from 11:30 -12:30 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 PM. Burial is in Forest Hills Cemetery, Derry.
