Aggelike (Korfiatis) Makris, 88, of Worcester died Friday, November 22nd at home. Her husband of 65 years, Evangelos Makris died in 2008. She leaves two daughters, Eleni Poulakis and her husband, Stefanos and Melina Klimavich and her husband Dennis all of Worcester; two grandchildren, Evans Klimavich and Anna Poulakis; a brother and two sisters who live in Greece. She was predeceased by a sister.
She was born in Greece the daughter of Stefanos and Magdalini (Midgeliotou) Korfiatis. Aggelike was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She worked as a seamstress for most of her life and was known as one of the best in the business. Mrs. Makris was a very caring woman who was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
Her funeral is Tuesday, November 26th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, November 25th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
