Obituary

Worcester – James R. McCann, 77, of Worcester, died on Thursday, November 21st in the VA Medical Center – West Roxbury.

Mr. McCann is survived by his two sons, Sean McCann of Marlboro and Timothy McCann of Worcester; a brother, William McCann of Shrewsbury; a grandson, Ian McCann and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Winfield and Sadie (Herman) McCann and is also predeceased by a brother Richard and three sisters, Barbara, Eleanor and Bernice.

Jim served in the United States Army where he was a proud member of the paratrooping unit. He was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed spending time at the Marine Corps League in Worcester, where he was a member.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th at 12 Noon in the Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11:30 AM on Tuesday morning in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Jim, may be made to the Disabled American Veterans PO Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250.
