Issam F. Salibi, 70, of New Bedford died November 22, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the husband of Hiam F. (Assaf) Salibi.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, the son of the late Farah and Dora (Yamin) Salibi, he lived in Lebanon before moving to New Bedford in 1985.
Mr. Salibi was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
He was the proprietor of Sam's Beauty Salon in Fall River for many years.
Survivors include his wife; 4 brothers, Moussa Salibi and Sami Salibi, both of Fall River, John Salibi of Lebanon and Michael Salibi of Tiverton, RI; a sister, Amal Nasrallah and her husband Joseph of Fall River; 3 sisters-in-law, Amal Assaf of New Bedford, Ibtisam Assaf Karam and Sahira Assaf Maalouf and her husband Milad, all of Dartmouth; 2 brothers-in-law, Fouzi Assaf and Walid Assaf; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother-in-law of the late Samir "Sam" Karam.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, November 27th at 8:45 AM. Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 186 Cross Rd., Dartmouth. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 26th from 4-8 PM.
