SPENCER: Doris M. (Madelle) Boulanger 81 of 98 Maple St., died Thursday, Nov. 21 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.
Her husband of 38 years, Edward J. Boulanger died in 1987. She leaves her son Edward F. Boulanger and his partner Patricia “Tish” Gagne of Charlton, two grandsons; Edward F. Boulanger II of East Haven, Ct. and Kyle J. Boulanger of Douglas, a special niece Phyllis Deustch of Wisc., and cousin Mary Spencer of Holyoke, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Franklin J. Boulanger in 2009 and her brothers; Clarence, Donald, Wilfred, Francis and Franklin Madelle.
Born in Leicester, she was the daughter of Frank J. and Guilda M. (Desoimier) Madelle.
Doris was a shoe worker at the former Klevin Shoe Co. of Spencer and No.Brookfield where she worked for 21 years. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and making puzzles.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
