AUBURN-Donald E. “Bumps” Cron, 75, of 16 Sumner Street, died Monday evening, September 27th in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. He leaves his loving wife of 47 years, Mary F. (Barbour) Cron, a brother, C. David Cron of Martha’s Vineyard, a niece and two nephews.
He was born in Worcester the son of Carl and Ethel (Howard) Cron and lived in Auburn for 47 years. He graduated from South High School in 1948 and was a Marine veteran of World War II. Mr. Cron worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 35 years retiring in 1989. He was a member of Hadwen Park Congregational Church and Main South American Legion Post 341and was a very generous and thoughtful person who was always there for his friends.
The memorial service and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
