Obituary

Robert M. "Bobby" McGuinness, 72, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. Robert was born, raised & educated in Brockton, and was the son of the late Walter & Ella Mae (Perkins) McGuinness. He worked as a Taxi driver for Brockton Cab for more than 35 years, where he met the love of his life, Donna. He also worked as a courier for US Laboratory and retired in 2007.
Bobby served in the US Army and was stationed in Okinawa where he was in charge of missile weaponry. He was a self-taught rhythm guitar player, forming his own band; The Cavaliers. After his return from his military service he continued to perform in his new band. He was a homebody who enjoyed watching movies and sports. Bobby will be remembered as a loving husband and friend.
In addition to his wife Donna E. (Rosen), he leaves behind his brothers Walter McGuinness and his wife Eva of Middleboro and Steven McGuinness and his wife Diane of Brockton and a sister, Patty Andrews and her husband Stephen of Rhode Island and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte. 123) Brockton, Wednesday 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
