Shrewsbury—Bernard V. “Duke” Ducharme, 78, of Cedar Street, died Sunday, September 26, 2004, at home. His wife of 55 years, Jeannine L. (Parmenter) Ducharme, died September 25, 2004.
He leaves 2 sons, Dan A. Ducharme of Shrewsbury and David W. Ducharme; a daughter, Darlene G. Fohlin of Thompson, CT; 1 brother, Roland Ducharme of Nashua, NH; 2 half-brothers, Joseph “Moe” Ducharme of Lowell and Raymond Ducharme of Marietta, OK; 2 half-sisters, Rite (Ducharme) Quirico of Tacoma, WA and Jaline Ducharme of Washington, NJ; 2 grandchildren, Lindsay M. & Alecia G. Fohlin of Thompson, CT. Two brothers and a sister, Gerald Ducharme, Clare Dickieson, Maurice Ducharme, predeceased him.
He was born in Lowell, son of Joseph and Marie (Tellier) Ducharme. He worked in the Maintenance Dept. at Worcester State Hospital for over 15 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29 from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UMass Memorial Hospice Program, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605.
