Nancy (Pontes) Menard, age 67 of Tiverton, passed away Wed. Nov. 13, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Stephen M. Menard and the daughter of the late Joseph & Florence (Gaspar) Pontes. Prior to retiring, Nancy worked as a Case Worker Intake Coordinator for St. Mary’s Home for Children in Cranston, RI. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid NY Yankees fan.
In addition to her husband of Tiverton, she is survived by her son: Joseph Cote of Acushnet, MA; a step-son: Kevin M. Menard of Fall River; a sister: Marguerite Gagnon of Somerset; grandchildren: Amanda & Tanner Cote; several nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert J. Cote and the sister of the late Joseph Pontes.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on MONDAY at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa’s Church, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours SUNDAY 4-7 P.M.
