Angelo Colangelo passed away on November 12, 2013. He was 65 years old.
Angelo was born in Italy. He was a resident of Swampscott and formerly a longtime resident of Malden. Angelo was a sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He worked for the United States Postal Service in Boston as a letter carrier for the past 25 years. Angelo was a baseball coach for Malden Little League for 25 years and a former bartender at the Highland Cafe in Malden.
Angelo was the devoted husband of 36 years to Christine (Karey) Colangelo. He was the beloved father of Renee Bonnell and her husband Peter of Sagamore Beach, Valerie Lin Bosch and her husband Lino of Buckeye, Arizona, and Nicholas Colangelo of Boston. Angelo was the dear brother of Mickelina Mancini and her husband Peter of Malden and Frank Colangelo and his wife Carmella of Revere. He was the cherished grandfather of Rayliana, Alysandra, and Caleb Bonnell and Acelino Bosch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, November 15th from 4-8 p.m. A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
