John Farrington McDonald, 55, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2013, at the Revis McDonald Cemetery in Ben Hill County with Deacon J. Brian Bergeron and Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 PM, at The Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. McDonald was born November 21, 1957, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to Elrea Sayer McDonald and the late Jap Revis McDonald. He was a farmer, living in the Ashton community all of his life. John was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit and love of horses. He was a friend to all he met. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by a daughter: Delena McDonald of Cochran; grandchildren: Laila, Rose Mary and John; his mother: Elrea Sayer McDonald of Fitzgerald; two brothers: Greg & Carol McDonald and Tim & Denise McDonald; one sister: Shellah McDonald all of Fitzgerald and several nieces and nephews including: Jessie Carver, Ryan, Charles, Austin, Tyler, Sydney. Abby and Ty McDonald. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother: Darrell R. McDonald.
