Obituary for Marion J. Spink
East Brookfield - Marion J. Spink, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 12 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband Harold G. Spink in 1992. She was the daughter of Andrew T. and Sophia (Niejadlik) Ficociello. She leaves a son, Timothy H. Spink of East Brookfield, two daughters, Marcia L. Spink of Philadelphia, PA and Karen G. Lock of Kingston. Her cherished granddaughter Meredith G. Lock of Kingston. Her long time friend and beloved companion Francis L. Plante of Vernon, CT. Two sisters, Janet H. Lucchesi of East Brookfield and Constance R. Rogers of Haverhill. A nephew, Vincent J. Lucchesi and his wife Crystal of Oakham. Four nieces, Dr. Pamela A. Lucchesi and her spouse Linda Bradley of South Vienna, OH, Maureen F. Perkins and her husband David of Haverhill, Kathleen R. Keefe and her husband Brian of Atkinson, NH , and Kelly A. Spencer and her husband Michael of Haverhill. Several cousins including Marion A. Merola of East Brookfield. Several grand nieces and nephews. A life long friend Jeanne LeBeau of East Brookfield. Three Godchildren, Dr. Pamela A. Lucchesi, James A. Flamand and Jeffrey J. Petruzzi.
Marion was Assistant Manager and Bookkeeper at Spencer Pharmacy for 37 years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed travelling, live theater, and American history. She was a life long Red Sox fan. The most important thing in her life was her family including her extended “Connecticut” family, the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Francis Plante.
Marion’s funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, No. Brookfield Rd., E.Brookfield. Burial will follow in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Ware, Ma. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7p.m. in the funeral home.
