Milton Harrison Mills, 65, of Chase City, VA, passed away on November 9, 2013. He was born on December 26, 1947 in Prince Edward County, VA. He is survived by his mother, Mary Bigger Mills of Chase City, VA, one brother, David S. Mills of Clarksville, VA, his long-time friend, Cheryl Davis, his aunt’s, Helen Booker of Farmville, VA, Roselle Moore of Chase City, VA and Hilda Reese of Chase City, VA and his uncle, W.H. Mills. He is predeceased by his father, Walter Milton Mills. He was a retired State Auditor for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church and Arrowhead Gun Club. He was inducted in the Virginia Skeet Shooters Hall of Fame and he won multiple state skeet shooting competitions. He enjoyed spending time at the Outer Banks. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chase City Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Chase City Volunteer Fire Department.
