Kevin Patrick Burge, 54, died Saturday, November 9, 2013. He was the husband of Donna (Slingsby) Burge of Danvers, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage.
Born in Boston on Sept. 30, 1959, he was the son of George and Caroline Burge of Peabody. He was a graduate of Peabody Veterans’ Memorial High School and furthered his education at Middlesex Community College and Northeastern University.
For eighteen years, Kevin was employed at World Sleep Products.
A longtime Danvers resident, he was an avid sports fan. He was a Patriots season ticket holder for more than twenty years, enjoyed camping, and was a car enthusiast. He loved spending times with his sons, and was active coaching them in Danvers youth sports.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his two beloved sons, Christopher Burge of Woburn and Ryan Burge of Charlestown, a sister, Margaret Carlson and her husband John of Danvers, two brothers, George Burge of Peabody and Mark Burge of Quincy, his mother-in-law, Patricia Slingsby of Rye, NH, as well as extended family and many dear friends.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 9AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8Pm in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Danvers Youth Soccer, P.O.
