Roy Alvin Spivey, Sr., age 60, of Broxton, GA passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at his residence at Broxton, GA, following an extended illness. Mr. Spivey was born on February 6, 1953, in Douglas, GA to the late Leo Shab Spivey and Thelma Teresa Minchew Spivey.
Survivors include: his two daughters, Wendy Gail Morales of Broxton, GA, and Cindy Gail (Jose) Salinas, son, Roy Alvin (Jessica) Spivey, Jr. of Douglas, GA, sister, Lavert Spivey of Homerville, GA, nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Ferrnell Spivey and grandson, Victor Ranchez Morales.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 2 :00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Spivey and Rev. Robert Spivey officiating. Interment will follow at Tanner Church Cemetery.
