Obituary

William A. Proverb, age 84, of Carver, formerly of Holbrook, died on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.

Born in Flushing, NH, he was the son of the late Lester & Gladys (Roberts) Proverb. William was a veteran with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. His hobbies included reading and for many years camping in Florida with his family.

He was the beloved husband of Jean M. (Joudrey) Proverb; devoted father of Richard A. Proverb & his wife Lisa Hardigan of East Bridgewater and Caryl A. Proverb of Carver; loving grandfather of Rebecca Proverb of Bristol, CT, Melissa Perreault & her husband Charles of Manchester, NH and great-grandfather of Victoria Perreault and Charles Perreault, Jr; dear brother of Lester Proverb of Tewksbury, Jack Proverb of Chelmsford and the late Richard Proverb and Gladys (Jill) Pellegrino. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral and interment service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Boston Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
