TAUNTON – Francis S. Rose, husband of Charlene (McCrohan) Rose, died at his Taunton home on Nov. 3, 2013.
He was 61.
Born, raised, and educated in Taunton, he was the son of the late Francis L. and Katherine (Donaghue) Rose.
He was employed by Autopart International of Norton for five years and was awarded Employee of the Year in 2008; he retired in 2012.
Mr. Rose also worked for Zatec of Taunton for many years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, boating, and cooking.
But, above all, Francis enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of Taunton, he leaves three sons, Francis “Buddy” Severs of Taunton, Daniel Rose and his wife Sandra of Cumberland, RI, and Jerry Rose of Taunton; three daughters, Stephanie Severs of Newport, RI, Melissa LaValle and her husband Darrien, and Shannon Fasulo and her husband Joseph, all of Taunton; a brother, Richard A. Rose of Swansea; a sister, Brenda J. Eastman and her husband John of Swansea; twelve grandchildren; and several aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Patricia Rose.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Nov. 8th at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 9 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 7th from 5 to 8 p.m.
