Holden--Frank L. Gustafson, Jr., 80, of Brentwood Drive died Thursday, September 23, 2004, in Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Marguerite (Broderson) Gustafson; 2 daughters, Lois Loesch of Bellevue, WA and Nancy Fertig of Greenwich, CT; a brother, Richard Gustafson of Quechee, VT; a sister, Lois VanDoren of Hanover, MA; and five grandchildren.
He was born in Boston, son of Frank L. & Ella (Carlberg) Gustafson, Sr. He graduated from Boston University and worked for Norton Company in Industrial Engineering and Customer Service, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Friends of the Holden Council on Aging, the Stockholm, Maine Historical Society, and the American Legion. During WWII, he served as a pilot in the US Marine Corps in the South Pacific.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 27, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, Sept. 26, from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Belmont Street Baptist Church, 25 Belmont Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
