Obituary

Robert A. Miclette, 81, of Woonsocket died Thursday October 17th at Oakland Grove. He was the husband of the late Blanche A. (Lataille) Miclette.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Arthur and Agnes (Lafrenais) Miclette. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Miclette was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean War.
Bob was employed in the local textile industry at several area firms. He later worked for Valley Transport as a driver for several years before retiring.
Bob was a member of the Woonsocket B.P.O. E. Lodge 850 for over 25 years. He was a certified scuba diver and volunteered with Diver Door doing underwater work.
He is survived by a son Robert J. Miclette and a daughter Patricia J. Miclette both of Woonsocket. Two sisters Rita Savard of Cumberland and Sylvia Roark of Woonsocket. He was the father of the late Pamela Miclette and brother of the late Theresa Ezovski and Jeannette Desrosiers. He is also survived by three grandchildren Marc D. Vigginni, Jared C. Miclette and Ryan S. Littlefield, two great-grandchildren Shayla and Clinton, and many nieces and nephews.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Bob’s family at the Elks Hall on Social St. in Woonsocket on Tuesday anytime between 5 to 8 pm.
