Virginia Hamer Demester, 86, of Epping, NH, died Friday, September 24, 2004 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Mrs. Demester was born in Dracut, MA on March 1, 1918, a daughter of the late Herbert L. and Marguerite (Moran) Hamer. She was a resident of Epping for 13 years, formerly living in Derry. She was employed in Quality Control for Sanmina until the company closed. She enjoyed reading.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan B. Stripp & her husband Douglas of Epping, one grandson, Shane Emmons of Epping, one great-grandson, Tyler Emmons of Epping, two brothers, Lowell Hamer, Kenneth Hamer, both of Derry, several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Russell Hamer and Channing Hamer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 27th at 1:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. Friends may call on Sunday from 4-6pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Bldg., 360 State Rt. 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032.
