Alvin L. Crowley, 66, peacefully surrounded by his family on November 1, 2013 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Beauvais) with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn on February 12, 1947, he was the son of the late Cortland Crowley and Augusta (Nelson) (Crowley) Hultgren. Alvin was a farrier and blacksmith for many years. He served farms all over the New England area and beyond. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Shawn and Jennifer Crowley of Wakefield and Shannon and Wayne Gettings of Methuen, a brother Richard Crowley of Maine and a sister Janet Viering of NC, two grandchildren, John and Carly, several step-siblings and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10AM on Monday, November 4, 2013 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St, Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-8PM in the funeral home. Donations may be made in Alvin’s name to MGH, Development Office, 100 Cambridge St. Suite 1310, Boston, MA, 02114.
