Obituary

Edith A. Huxley, born in England on August 6, 1910, died at the Nevelle Center in Cambridge on Tuesday September 25th, 2004. She was the elder daughter of the late James and Edith Huxley, and beloved sister to the late Joyce Huxley Acox. From 1919 until 1999 Miss Huxley lived on Gage St. In Needham. A graduate from Needham High School, she undertook secretarial training, and worked for more than 30 years for the Collateral Loan Company in Boston. Her closest surviving family members are cousins including Derek Teare, Andrew, Danielle and Erica Teare, Nigel Teare, Susan Teare Mess , and Brendan and Dylan Mess all living in eastern U.S., as well as many other cousins in England. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Congregational Church of Needham 1154 Great Plain Ave on Saturday September 25th at 11:00 AM. Interment services in the family lot at Needham Cemetery will be private. Memorials in Edith’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army 147 Berkeley St. Boston MA 02116.
