Antone Medeiros, age 91, of Berkley passed away October 31, 2013. He was the husband of Irene (Rodrigues) Medeiros and son of the late Virginio and Rosa Medeiros. Antone was a truck driver for Seddon’s Express, a US Marine Corp Veteran of WW II, a member of the South shore Antique Auto Club and a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Alice (George A. Medeiros of Berkley; granddaughter Elizabeth (husband Glenn) Barrington; great grandchildren Alyssa and Daniel Barrington; sister Priscilla Fonseca(late husband James) of New Bedford, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Medeiros, Dennis “Leo” Medeiros (late wife Laurie), Annie Medeiros, Elsie Palmieri, Virginia Medeiros, John Medeiros (late wife Rita) and Elvira Sylvia (late husband Charles).
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River MONDAY at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church, Main St., Assonet at 10:00 A.M. Calling hours SUNDAY 3-6pm. www.rogersfuneral.com.
