Kyriaki (Missou) Shinas, 76, of Worcester, died Saturday, October 19th in Vibra Hospital of Western Mass-Central Campus. She was the wife of Angelo V. Shinas who died earlier this year. She leaves two sons, Dr. Vasilios Shinas and his wife, Rue of Athens, Greece and Peter Shinas and his wife Valerie of Worcester; two daughters, Marianna Pio and her husband, Thomas of Woodstock, CT and Vasili Kaltsounis and her husband, George of Paros, Greece; her sister Irene Tsitsiridakis and her husband, Vagelis of Athens, Greece; seven grandchildren Kyriaki, Angelo, Angelina and Stephanie Shinas, Michael Pio, Christina Tai and Nicholas Kaltsounis; two great-grandsons, Eli and Noah Tai and several nephews and nieces. Her brother Dino Missou and sister Eleni Missou predeceased her.
She was born in Pireus, Greece the daughter of Panagiotis and Vasilia (Pedavaraki) Missou. Mrs. Shinas had been a leather switcher for Brown Shoe. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Her funeral is Monday, November 4th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 a.m. in St. Spyrdion Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. A visitation period will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
