Earle W. Churchill age 77 of Brockton, died unexpectedly October 24, 2013. Earle was born in East Bridgewater and raised in West Bridgewater a son of the late Doris (Jones) and Robert S. Churchill, Sr. A graduate of Howard High School, he retired from Knapp Shoe and previously worked at Potvin Shoe for over 20 years. During the Korean Conflict Earle served in the US Army.
Earle had lived at the Campello High Rise for many years where he had helped with the Meals on Wheels program. He had also been a volunteer at the Mary Kennedy Senior Center. He enjoyed bowling and cribbage and was an avid sports fan. Earle will be remembered as a friendly and outgoing man who made people laugh and was loved by all.
Earle was the father of John Churchill of Adams, MA; Donna Messer of Davenport, FL and the late Roger Churchill. He leaves 10 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren and his siblings Judy Cook of Brockton, Winston Churchill of Sunapee, NH; Arthur Churchill of New Jersey and the late Carolyn, William and Robert Churchill, Donna Lewis and Norma Mather.
Visiting hours are omitted. Graveside Service with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday Nov. 4 at 10:30 am.
