Obituary

Lawrence – Marjolaine C. (Thibault) Brisson, 72, of Lawrence, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with cancer. She was the wife of Claude R. Brisson, to whom she was married for 52 years.

Born in Valleyfield, Canada on March 7, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Leopold and Marie-Jeanne (DeBonville) Thibault. Marjolaine was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish / St. Augustine Chapel, where she volunteered for the annual Christmas fair as well as the annual parish block party. She was also involved with the Presentation of Mary Academy. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband in their motor home along with spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Marjolaine will be deeply missed by her husband, Claude; 3 daughters, Brenda and her husband, Mike Tardif of Danville, NH, Kim and her husband, Samuel Jaster of Seabrook, NH, and Michelle and her husband, Keith Hartnett of Malden, MA; 5 grandchildren, Allyson and her husband, Chris, Matthew and his companion, Brittney, Emily, Kelly, and Ryan; 5 brothers, Roger Thibault and his partner, Alain Reed, Claude Thibault, Yvan and his wife, Marguerite Thibault, and Jean-Paul Thibault and his partner, Erika all of Canada; and several nieces, nephews, and friends, including her close friend, Betsy Gillin. She is predeceased by 2 brothers, Leo and Marcel Thibault.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Marjolaine's life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 2 - 4 PM and from 6 - 8 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 2nd at 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish / St. Augustine Chapel, 128 Ames Street, Lawrence, MA. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested, in Marjolaine's honor, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Giving Program, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
