Obituary

John W. Brown Jr. 88, of Bellingham died October 30 in the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge.
Born in Bellingham, September 4, 1925, the son of the late John W. and Rowena (Williams) Brown, Mr. Brown was a lifelong Bellingham resident.
He was a graduate of Bellingham High School and Coyne Electrical School in Boston.
Mr. Brown operated Brown’s Electrical Service from 1958 until his retirement.
He was a member of the Massachusetts Electrical Contractors Association. He also served for a time as Electrical Inspector for the Town of Bellingham.
Mr. Brown had a small apartment house in Franklin which remodeled as a hobby.
Following his retirement, John spent much summer time on Cape Cod and the Pocono’s and winters in Florida.
He was a collector of old cars.
Mr. Brown served in the Army during the Korean War. He attained the rank of Private First Class and received the Korean service medal with one bronze service star.
He is survived by his sister Virginia H. Rubrigi of Bellingham with whom he lived.
His funeral service will be held on Monday November 4 in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant Street, Franklin at 11:00.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Bellingham
