Randall “Big R” Lefaite Barnes, 49, of Enigma died Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Clayton Dowd and Rev. Dana Swain will officiate with burial to follow in Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Chief Buddy Dowdy, Robert Wheeler, Tommy Sellars, Keith Gibbs, Hal McMillan, Jamie Davis and Don Bruner will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Hughes, Mike Barnes, Wayne Aultman, Jason Griffin, Knocker Gibbs and Wayne Barnes. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 31, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Barnes was born on January 22, 1964 in Irwin County and was the son of Earl “Earky” Lefaite Barnes and Mary Virginia “Tweety” Lupo Barnes, both of Enigma. He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Church of God faith. He was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Wayne Barnes.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Barnes is survived by four brothers, Raymond Earl Barnes, Ricky Lamar Barnes and Rayford Lang Barnes, all of Enigma and Matthew Lefaite Barnes of Brookfield.
