Obituary

BERKLEY – Burton N. Brown, husband of the late Maria (Cruz) Brown, died at his Berkley home on Oct. 29, 2013.
He was 89.
Born in Ellsworth, Maine, he was the son of the late Willie F. and Minnie (Sargent) Brown.
Raised and educated in Ellsworth, he later served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
He moved to Taunton in 1946.
A retired mold tender, he was employed by the former New England Brass Company for over forty years, before retiring in 1987.
After retiring, he was self-employed in the metal salvaging industry.
Survivors include six sons, Jonathan, Richard, and Ronald Brown, all of Taunton; Russell and Robert Brown, both of Raynham; and Norman Brown of Dighton; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and a niece.
Funeral services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Nov. 1st at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 31st from 5 to 8 p.m.
