MacDonald, George D. of Hanover, passed away on October 28, 2013 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 61 years of Ena (MacKay) MacDonald. Loving father of Elizabeth Mahoney and her husband Michael of Marlborough and the late Paul MacDonald. Dear father in law of Cheryl MacDonald of Mansfield. Grandfather of the late Caitlin Mahoney. Dear brother of Margaret Aitken of Grimsby, Ontario. George was predeceased by 5 brothers and sisters. Son of the late Alexander and Margaret (MacLellan) MacDonald. George was born and raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada. He moved to Marshfield in 1956. George received his Accounting Degree with honors from Bentley College. He worked as a Cost Accountant for Charles T. Main. George traveled to many places for his job. He was a member of the Scituate Men of Harmony Barber Shop Chorus for 40 year and a Past Master of the Daniel Webster Lodge.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 1981 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield.
