Edna E. Sims, 91, of Hernando, Florida, died Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Arbor Trail Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Inverness, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness, Florida. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8, October 30, 2013, at Dobies Funeral Home, Hudson Chapel, in Inverness, Florida. A local funeral service will be held 11 AM, Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with Pastor Joe Sims and Kelley Looper officiating. The interment will follow in the Ocilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9, Thursday evening, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Sims was born, November 2, 1921, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late George William and Lollie Daniels Edwards. She was former owner and operator of a furniture store and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness, Florida.
She is survived by three sons: John & Pat Sims, Joseph & Sarah Sims, III and Mike & Nadine Sims; a sister: Frances McGinty; two sisters-in-law: Lena Sims and Genida Edwards; grandsons: Tim & Cindy Sims, Chad Sims, Michael Sims, and John Sims, Jr.; granddaughters: Sonya & Trey Crawford and Michelle & Gene Josey; great-grandchildren: Garrett Sims, Greyson Sims, Jordan Josey, Turner Josey Jahred Brass, Sarah Elizabeth & Jimmy Hart, Anna Katherine Sims, Chelsea Crawford, Courtney Crawford, Hailey Crawford, Riley Crawford and Lindsey Myers; great-great-grandchildren: Lakai Hart, Jaida Wright and Brody Myers and many nieces and nephews.
