Mary D. (Turco) Muccini a lifelong resident of Somerville and beloved wife of the late Leo Muccini, died at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, October 25, 2013. She was 95 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 4, 1918, she was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Adeline (Maicco) Turco. Mrs. Muccini was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Medford. She enjoyed being with her family, tending to her flower garden and crocheting. In her later years, she also enjoyed working at Blossom’s Cafe in Boston with her two daughters until she retired at age 82."
She will be sorely missed by her loving children; Louise and her husband Ed Iacobacci of Andover, Richard and his wife Nancy Muccini of East Sandwich and Dyane and her husband Andy Silins of West Barnstable, sister; Rose Caputo of Arlington, grandchildren; Jean, Raymond, Lesley, David, Jon, Allison and Jake, great-grandchildren; Claudia, Julia, Will and Ethan and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the devoted sister of the late Eugene Turco.
Her funeral mass was celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at 10:30 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Visiting hours were held on Monday, October 28, 2013, in St. Joseph Church, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
