William Basil “Bill” Botka of Framingham, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Oak Knoll Nursing Home of Framingham. He was 84 years old.
Bill was born in Akron, Ohio on April 22, 1929. After serving our country proudly in the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan, Bill attended Kent State University and graduated with a degree in economics. He worked as a buyer with Cavicchio Greenhouses of Sudbury for many years after retirement from a career in sales.
Bill was the devoted husband of Harriette S. (Servis) Botka with whom they shared forty-eight years of marriage. Bill is survived by his son, Christopher Botka and his wife Pamela Klein, of Cambridge, his sister Connie Walckner and her husband James Walckner of Framingham, his brother Andon Botka and his wife Ann Botka of Hopkinton. He is also survived by two nieces, Kelly Leone of Framingham and Kris Ann Botka of Ashland and two granddaughters.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held in the family home on Saturday, November 2nd @ 2:00PM. Relatives & friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Albanian Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 37 Washington St., Natick, MA 01760 or Fidelis Hospice, 25 Railroad Sq. Suite 501, Haverhill, MA 01832.
