Evelyn Margaret (Noe) Schaffner, 94, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. After years of service she retired from Armour Packing and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Birdie and Amos Noe; her husbands, the Rev. Frank Speed and Chester H. Schaffner; stepsons, John and Jackie Schaffner. She is survived by her loving son, Fred W. Speed (Lois); stepson, Hank Schaffner; four granddaughters, Stephanie, Mary, Jessica, Ashley and 8 great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be 12 noon Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 1 pm to 8 pm on Friday.
