Santina Rose Palermo, age 93, passed away , Wednesday, September 21st at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Agrippino Palermo. Born and raised in Boston´s West End, she was the daughter of the late Nellie (Manoli) and Camillo DeGrazia. Mrs. Palermo was a resident of Woburn for over ten years formerly of Revere. She worked for many years as a seamstress in Boston´s Garment District and also worked for a number of years at the former Schraffts Chocolate Co. in Charlestown. She enjoyed singing and dancing.
She is survived by her son Peter Palermo and his wife Ann of Chelmsford. Four brothers; Thomas DeGrazia of Canton, Charles DeGrazia of Lakeville, Martin DeGrazia of Lynn and Camillo DeGrazia of Belmont. She is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant, Woburn, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
