Helen B. (Slavick) Baran wife of Stanley F. Baran passed away October 22, 2013 at Life Care Center in Raynham at the age of 91. Born in Taunton, Helen was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise Slavick. Helen was a resident of Raynham for the past sixty-four years with her husband Stanley. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Taunton class of 1940. Helen was a retired secretary for the town of Raynham Superintendant’s Office for over twenty years. She was on the Board of Directors of Girl’s Inc., a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader, Holy Union Association, National Council of Catholic Woman and was a Marian Medal award recipient. She was the mother Jane Baran and her husband David Hoffman of Hadley, Barbara Ferreira and her husband David of Raynham, Beverly Mongeau of Harwich, Paul Baran of Taunton, Cynthia Baran and her husband Stephen McKenna of Brewster. Grandmother of Lori Williamson, Amy Ferreira, Sarah Hoffman and Bennett McKenna. Sister of Stanley Slavick of East Taunton. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Friday, October 25th from 8:00-10:15 AM. A Mass will be held at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 11:00 AM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Holy Family Church Parish Center, P.O.
