Hazel M. (Readel) Preston, 87 of Wrentham died October 22 in her home following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Walter L. Preston who died in 1990.
Born in Norwood, September 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Eldred and Eva (Wilson) Readel, Mrs. Preston had lived in Wrentham for most of her life.
Mrs. Preston had worked at the Wrentham Developmental Center for over 40 years, retiring as a supervisor.
Hazel loved being part of her children and her grandchildren’s lives.
She also enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Walter Preston , Jr. of Herando, Florida, Richard Preston of Pahrump, Nevada, William Preston of Wrentham and Rita Shulman of Dover.
She is also survived by her sisters, Virginia Carver and Evelyn Preston of Norfolk.
She was the sister of the late Dorothy Oblachinski, Eldridge, Robert and Donald Readel.
She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Her graveside services will be held on Friday October 25 in Wrentham Centre Cemetery, RTE. 1A at 1:oop.m.
