William D. Cregan, III, 55, of New Bedford died October 21, 2013 at home after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Lucille J. "Lucy" (Vieira) Martin-Cregan.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late William D. Cregan, Jr. and Mary T. (Mello) Cregan, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Cregan was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
He was formerly employed by the Standard-Times, Circuit City and Cumberland Farms.
Mr. Cregan was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include his wife; his 3 children, Mary Cregan, Patricia Cregan and William D. Cregan, IV, all of New Bedford; a step-son, James Martin of New Bedford; 3 brothers, Michael Patrick Cregan and Dennis John Cregan and his wife Traci, all of New Bedford and Timothy Joseph Cregan and his wife Mandy of Brockton; a grandson, Jaiden James Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Daniel Anthony Cregan.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9th at 10 AM in St. Julie Billiart Church.
