Marilyn M. (Goulart) Baker, 82, of New Bedford died October 21, 2013 peacefully at Our Lady's Haven surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the wife of the late Staff Sergeant Kenneth A. Baker, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine (McHugh) Goulart, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Baker was formerly employed as a cook at New Bedford High School for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Kenneth A. Baker and his wife Lynne of Fairhaven and Kevin Scott Baker of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren, Kyle Baker, Paige Baker and Scott Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Michael Goulart and Patricia Edmundson.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Friday, October 25th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, October 24th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Our Lady’s Haven, 71 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
