Obituary

Dominic A. Manduca, 88, of Worcester, died Sunday, October 20th in the Odd Fellows Home. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Jeanne I. (Royer) Manduca; two brothers, Vincent Manduca of Leominster and Anthony Manduca of Orlando, FL; his sister, Catherine Manduca of Worcester and several nephews and nieces. A sister, Frances LeBlanc predeceased him.
He was born in Montarossa, Calabria, Italy the son of Dominic and Nicolasa (Farias) Manduca. Mr. Manduca was a graduate of Bryant College and Clark University; and had served as a Naval Aviator and as a navigational and ground instructor during and after World War II. He later had been employed as an airline pilot for National and TWA Airlines. Mr. Manduca then worked as a market researcher for the George Myer Company and for the Wright Line before retiring. He was a member of St. George’s Parish and the Greendale Retired Men’s Club.
Dominic’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Odd Fellows Home for the kindness and extraordinary care shown to Dominic during his stay there.
His funeral is Thursday, October 24th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 759 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 8:30 until 9:30 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
